WARRANTY STATEMENT
O'Gosh Computers warrants new computer systems for one year parts and labor, on site or pickup and deliver unless otherwise extended at the time of purchase. All new systems are provided with an APC Surge Protector or UPS. Electrical surge damage will only be covered providing the surge protection equipment is connected to a properly grounded outlet. The APC equipment has an LED which indicates a proper ground. Phone equipment must be routed through the surge protector to guard against damage to modems. Damage due to flood, fire or misuse is not covered by warranty.
Many components used in the assembly of our systems carry a longer manufacturer's warranty which will be serviced at no charge during the manufacturer's warranty period by O'Gosh Computers. Typically, Monitors and Hard Drives have a three year warranty, Wisecom Modems - 5 years and APC Surge Protectors - Lifetime.
Printers carry a manufacturer's warranty which varies by manufacturer and model. We do not have the authorization or parts availability to service printer warranties. DOA (dead on arrival) or printers which fail during the first 30 days will be replaced by O'Gosh Computers. Failures covered under manufacturer's warranties past the first thirty days must be addressed to the manufacturer or an authorized repair facility. Extended on-site or "instant return" warranties are available for some models at the time of purchase. We will be happy to assist you in obtaining manufacturer's warranty support.
Data recovery is not covered under any warranty by O'Gosh Computers or hardware manufacturers. It is important that you take steps to regularly backup any data you create to guard against loss. Licensed software will be reinstalled from your source disks in the event of hardware failure under warranty without cost. Reinstallation of programs or data due to operator error or virus infection is not covered under warranty.
